About the Course
From discussing performance reviews, to dealing with uncivil behaviour, to addressing organizational change and workplace culture, we can learn to embrace interactions that we would prefer to avoid.
This course is designed to provide participants with a foundation to successfully navigate a wide range of difficult conversations. You will learn to develop the right disposition(s), implement valuable tools and better understand the professional needs of those you work with. We can become in tune with and effectively respond to the messages that are being conveyed by others, while moving beyond getting bogged down by discomfort and confusion. We can strengthen relationships through learning to communicate openly, inclusively and candidly.
Key Learning Outcomes:
Enhance your communication skills with peers, managers, and clients
Recognize the barriers preventing you from initiating difficult conversations
Master techniques to begin conversations and express concerns candidly and confidently
Navigate discomfort and intimidation throughout the conversation
Craft a “flexible script” that works for both parties
